The Science
How It Works
Turning the immune system into a diagnostic platform
Bloodless Dx uses specially designed affinity reagents to enable immune cells naturally present in the skin to recognize specific diagnostic targets.
When the target analyte is present, recognition of that target triggers a localized immune response, producing a visible wheal-and-flare reaction at the test site.
The Four-Step Process
APPLY
A Bloodless Dx affinity reagent is applied to the skin.
DETECT
The affinity reagent recognizes its specific target in the body's interstitial fluid.
SIGNAL
Target recognition activates a localized immune response.
READ
A visible wheal-and-flare response provides the diagnostic signal.
